Susan Glickman’s Writing Process, Part II

We asked Susan Glickman, author of Bernadette and the Lunch Bunch, Bernadette in the Doghouse, Bernadette to the Rescue and her new release The Tale-Teller, about her writing novels.

Do you have any tips for keeping writing through a long project like a novel?

Don’t be too concerned about writing your story straight through from beginning to end. Just make sure you write whenever you can so that you don’t lose the voices of your characters or the style of your narrator. Also, whenever you have to stop writing for more than a couple of days, leave yourself some notes about what to write next.

Don’t forget to check out Susan’s new book, The Tale-Teller, now available through Amazon!

Ask an Author is a semi-regular feature on O’Deary Library. If you have a question for an author, leave it in the comments below. We’ll try to reach the author and get an answer for you.
