The Beginning of Everything by Robyn Schneider
Ezra Faulkner is pretty much the king of his school – a star tennis player with a cheerleader girlfriend, for him senior year is his time to shine. Or at least it was meant to be, but when a series of unfortunate events culminates in an accident Ezra’s life takes an unexpected turn. From the popular table to the debate table (and its questionable coolness) Ezra renews an old friendship, is swept away by new girl Cassidy Thorpe and learns he’s more than a jock and Homecoming King.
Robyn Schneider‘s The Beginning of Everything is the perfect mixture of wit, charm and observation. It’s a coming of age story that’s easily identifiable – regardless of the readers age. Similar to John Green’s Looking for Alaska, fans of contemporary YA will enjoy its perfect blend of witty banter and teenage angst with a twist.
Why You’ll Love It
It will make you laugh, it will make you cry and let’s face it main character Ezra will make you swoon.
Choice Quote: “Words could betray you if you chose the wrong ones, or mean less if you used too many.”
