Book Trailer: Michael Grant’s “Light”

Here at the O’Deary Library, we get just as excited as you do about books that are coming soon. Every week, we’ll bring you trailers for books – sometimes new ones, sometimes old ones, and sometimes even fan-made ones!

And just like that, another epic series comes to a close!

Remember Michael Grant’s Gone┬áseries? We’re big fans of it here at the O’Deary Library, and if you haven’t taken the time to give it a read yet, you should do yourself a favor and check it out. And now is as good a time as any, because the sixth and final novel in the series, Light, was just released this week! Now that the entire series is out there in the world, make sure you dive into this series and see how it all ends.

In this super cool trailer for the final novel, we see a fake news broadcast describing some very strange events. If this video doesn’t convince you that you need to check this one out, I’m not sure what will!

Here’s the synopsis:

“It’s been over a year since all the adults disappeared. Gone.

In the time since every person over the age of fourteen disappeared from the town of Perdido Beach, California, countless battles have been fought: battles against hunger and lies and plague, and epic battles of good against evil. And now, the gaiaphage has been reborn as Diana’s malicious mutant daughter, Gaia. Gaia is endlessly hungry for destruction. She yearns to conquer her Nemesis, Little Pete, and then bend the entire world to her warped will. As long-standing enemies become allies, secrets are revealed and unexpected sacrifices are made. Will their attempts to save themselves and one another matter in the end, or will the kids of Perdido Beach perish in this final power struggle?

Light, the sixth and final book in the New York Times bestselling Gone┬áseries by Michael Grant, creates a masterful, arresting conclusion to life in the FAYZ.”
