Neil Gaiman Talks Comics, Dr. Who and Being a Writer

Neil Gaiman – the author of such famous books, graphic novels and comics asĀ The Sandman and Coraline – sits down with GRAPHIC to talk about a wide range of topics.

“I tend to say that I’m a storyteller,” says Neil Gaiman, speaking to GRAPHIC outside of the Sydeny Opera House, “only then people think that I go to schools and tell stories or something, which I really don’t. So I say I’m a writer.”

Gaiman, who wrote the book Coraline before they turned it into a movie, is one busy guy. He writes short stories, comics, graphic novels, books – a little of everything! Here in this interview, the author is preparing to do something he’s never done before: read one of his unpublished stories with live musical accompaniment. But before he walks onto stage, he stops to chat a bit about his career. Check it out in fourteen parts on YouTube!
