Launch Pad: Where Young Authors and Illustrators Take Off

Launch Pad is a site for creative young people.

Are you a writer or artist between the ages of 6 and 14?  If so, you should check out Launch Pad.

Once a year, Scholastic and the American Library Association give away an award for “unusual contribution to the stimulation and guidance of reading by children and young people”.

This year the award was received by Paul Kelsey, a staff librarian at the University of Southeastern Louisiana for his website, LaunchPad. an online publishing service that publishes the works of young authors and illustrators.  The site has been publishing the works of talented young people since 2007.

If you or a friend have an original story, poem, book review, or can draw, check out their website!

You can see their previously published works on their website here.
