J.K. Rowling Reads From “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince”

The famous J.K. Rowling reads a chapter from the sixth installment of her massivelysuccessful Harry Potter franchise, The Half-Blood Prince.

“Mrs. Cole nodded impressively and took another generous gulp of gin,” reads J.K. Rowling from the sixth entry in her Harry Potter series, describing a flashback scene that explains the origins of the franchise’s villain, Voldemort. Rowling’s participation in the event was to raise money for The Haven Foundation and Médécins sans Frontieres.

In this video, Rowling reads an extended passage which includes the voices of Album Dumbledore and a young Tom Riddle, the future tyrant of the wizarding world. Give it a listen and hear how the creator herself imagines the world that she has imagined!
