An Abundance of Katherines

Colin Singleton got dumped… by another Katherine.

In An Abundance of Katherines, Colin Singleton is a child prodigy who is starting to feel like a has-
been. He’s a recent high school graduate, waiting for college, and recovering from being dumped
by his girlfriend Katherine. Katherine 19, to be specific, for before this Katherine, Colin dated 18
other girls with the same name, and he was dumped by each of them. Yes, it’s true. In order to cheer
him up, Colin’s best friend takes him on a cross-country road trip and this is where Colin’s journey
begins.

Feeling depressed, Colin is desperate to use this trip as a way to find himself: that moment which
pushes him forward and makes him feel like the genius he knows he can be. On top of that, he
needs to figure out the Theorem of Underlying Katherine Predictability that will predict all future
relationships. Say what?

Colin’s journey is at once both hilarious and touching, making an extremely memorable novel that
will stick with those who read it. Written by John Green, An Abundance of Katherines is a story that
many of us can relate to. It’s a fun read, filled with very funny dialogue and great characters that
have depth.

If you’re in the mood for something not too serious, not too complicated, but consistently
entertaining and amusing, look no further. An Abundance of Katherines is a road trip worth taking,
and you are bound to have new friends by the time you finish the story!
