Susan Glickman’s Writing Process, Part III

We asked Susan Glickman, author of Bernadette and the Lunch Bunch, Bernadette in the Doghouse, Bernadette to the Rescue and her new release The Tale-Teller, about her writing process.

Do you write biographies of your characters before you start writing a book?

Yes, I do. I write really long complex notes about each character, and make family trees, and also do timelines of events. Even if most of that stuff doesn’t actually turn up in the novels, it makes me feel much more confident when writing from the point of view of each character to know as much as possible about him or her.

Don’t forget to check out Susan’s new book, The Tale-Teller, now available through Amazon!
