Canadian Author William Bell

Canadian author William Bell’s novels generally take place in Canada.

They blend history and mystery seamlessly in order to educate (don’t worry, not too much!), entertain and keep readers on the edge of their seats.

Bell was born in Toronto in 1945 and now lives in Orillia Ontario.  He has taught high school and university instructor in China and Canada.  He has written more than a dozen books.

Check out his mystery novels Stones and Zack.

Bell’s latest novel, Fanatics, is nominated for  the 2012 Red Maple Readers’ Choice Award and short listed for 2012 Canadian Librarians’ Association’s Young Adult Book of the Year.

About the Author

's favourite books include The Sound and the Fury, every one of the Harry Potter books, The Fault in Our Stars, The Princess Bride, The Voyage of the Dawn Treader and A Little Princess. She wrote her first book -- Chestnut Squirrel Stories -- in fourth grade and has gone on to publish a number of books. She also writes for television and the web.
