Craft: Book Cover Wall Art
Show off your favourite books, right on your wall!
We’re sure you like showing your favourite novels to everyone that you meet, but hate lugging around the extra weight. Well fear not! We have a much simpler way to do so with this beautiful and easy to do collage that will most definitely show off all your favourite books and authors.
For this activity, you’ll need Modge Podge, a sponge brush, stretched canvas, coloured copies of book covers in a variety of sizes (you can find high quality images through Google Images or Goodreads).
Begin by laying out your printed and cut book covers on the canvas any way you’d like, covering all of the space if possible. Once you’ve laid your design out as you wish, remove the covers and coat the entire blank canvas in Modge Podge.
Then, lay the covers down as you’d like, one by one, then slather Modge Podge on top of each. Allow the top coat to dry with all the covers placed and then do a second top coat across the entire canvas. Wait about 10 minutes to dry and VOILA! Your book cover wall art is all ready to be hung!
Many thanks to the Beauregard Parish Library blog for this delightful craft.
