J.K. Rowling Reads from Tales of Beedle the Bard

J.K. Rowling – author of the international phenomenon that is the Harry Potter series – attends the book launch of one of her spinoff books, The Tales of Beedle the Bard.

Since most of you have probably already read J.K. Rowling’s incredibly famous Harry Potter series (or at least seen the movies), the fictional book The Tales of Beedle the Bard should sound familiar to you; after all, it played a pretty big role in the final Harry Potter story, The Deathly Hallows!

But did you know that Rowling wrote that book for real, and that you can read the whole thing yourself? It’s true! All of the stories – including the famous “Three Brothers” story which inspired the Deathly Hallows themselves – are included in it.

And if you want to get a little taste, check out this awesome video from the book’s launch in 2008, where Rowling herself reads a passage from the book!
