The Princess Bride

When many of us hear the title, The Princess Bride: S. Morgenstern’s Classic Tale of True Love and High Adventure, we think of the wonderful film that has captured the hearts and imaginations of viewers around the world for over two decades. While the movie is oh-so-worthy of its legendary status, we shouldn’t forget about the equally terrific book written by William Goldman that came first.

The Princess Bride is a wild fantasy adventure that blends comedy, drama, action, romance, monsters, mayhem, and more, in a battle of good versus evil that will never be forgotten. The story is famously said to be just the “good parts” of an old classic fairy tale written by S. Morgenstern, but a little research reveals that there is no author by this name. There is no previous version of The Princess Bride! This is the only version there is, and this creative wink at the reader by the author is perfectly fitting and sets up this fun ride brilliantly!

For anyone looking for a story of revenge that is also a story of love and a story of adventure, jam packed with exciting plot twists and bizarre characters, look no further. Before you sit down to re-watch the movie that thrills you, grab the book and experience this crazy story the way it was first told!
